Vietnamese Fine Art - Better Than Ever!

Vietnamese Fine Art - Better Than Ever!

The last decade, especially, has witnessed a dramatic growth in the number of people world-wide taking an enormous deal of interest in Vietnamese fine art. It is safe to assume now that Vietnamese fine art has finally come of age.
Less than a decade ago, contemporary Vietnamese fine art and artists had negligible presence in their own country and virtually none on the international art scene.
Yet, in 1993, eminent art critic and accomplished painter Ca Le Thang wrote in the popular art journal My Thuat, "In 1992 a total of 130 groups and one man exhibitions were opened in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring works by local (Vietnamese) artists... and even (artists) from overseas. Since then, Vietnamese fine art has not looked back. Instrumental to this have been such significant events as the exchanges between the Queensland College of Art, Brisbane, and the University of Fine Art, Ha Noi, and the visionary Indochina Arts Projects spearheaded by David Thomas in the United States.

Local galleries and museums have a major role to play in the growing popularity of Vietnamese fine art. They are the main driving factor behind the increasing popular enthusiasm and the commercial success of fine art in Vietnam. Keeping with the changing times, Vietnam fine art has also gone cyber! Fine art prints not only refer to prints of artwork on paper or canvas. Fine art prints here also refers to photos of sculptures, craftwork, etc.
Fine art refers to the purity of discipline. So if your art can demonstrate that, you can call it as fine art.
If you are looking to sell your fine art prints, you have to first consider why people are searching for fine art prints. Why not just any art print? Why fine prints in particular? By definition, fine art has a connotation of quality, though this may not necessary be the case. Sometimes, it's hard to define quality when we talk about art. That's becuase in many instances, art is subjective. You'll also have to differentiate yourself from all the other fine art artists. Simply by creating art that comes from within. Ask yourself, what is your definition of fine art? Communicate that discipline to your potential customers in your fine art prints. If your customers appreciate your fine art prints, maybe they'll come the appreciate the original fine art pieces and make a big purchase.
